What is the Church?

One thing I ask from the Lord,    this only do I seek:

that I may dwell in the house of the Lord    all the days of my life,

to gaze on the beauty of the Lord    and to seek him in his temple.

Psalm 27: 4

If a man believes in Christ, does he have to go to church? Many people may have the question. What is a church? Many people think of a building with a cross. However, the New Testament Acts 7:48 says, "The Most High does not live in houses made by human hands." The church that the Bible speaks of is a universal thing that exists in eternity, not a physical object, but a spiritual one. The Bible reiterates that the church is the body of Christ. And the head of the church is Christ.

Jesus asked his disciple Peter, "Who do you say I am?” Then Peter replies:You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

To Peter, Christ said, Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

Jesus built a church on his faith, confessing himself to Christ the Son of God. The church is a group of believers whose Savior is, Jesus Christ. We are all children of God who have been loved before the foundation of the world. Worship is the time when children meet their father, God.

Paul, who writes many New Testament letters, reiterates that the church is the body of Christ. Jesus said that he would rebuild the temple in three days, but the place where Jesus is in is the church. The church shown in the Bible is the place where Jesus is.

In the Bible, there is a word from Jesus :" For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Guided by these words, I began to sing hymns, read the Bible, and pray at home with my family. At night, I called my grandmother to read the Bible together. After that, I began to feel that the inside of our house was filled with the light of God. My own sins have become more noticeable for me than before, and my feelings of meekness toward my family have increased accordingly. The meekness spread to the family, and good changes began to occur. The inside of the house and the church are not disconnected places. Even if you don't have a Christian in your family, you can worship God with your friends anywhere if you have friends who want to believe in. Worship is the process of going to see God the Father and knowing that you are more and more loved by him. When we know His love, we will be able to convey it to others. Jesus said, “when the man sees believers love each other, he will know that they are disciples of Jesus.”.  God is where we love each other.

The Bible teaches that a person who believes in Jesus is the temple of the Lord. The one who believes in Christ is the church itself. In other words, the church is inseparable from those who believe in Christ at any time. If you act in the name of Christ, you are the church and the body of Christ. When I realized that Paul was also worshiping in prison, I began to want to go out to various places and convey God.

"The church is for non-Christians, so Christians go out of the church and work for the world," said William Temple, Archbishop of Canterbury.

Church is called Ecclesia in Greek, the original word of the New Testament and which is a term that refers to a group of people. A church is a person, not a building. Our true church is in heaven. " Our citizenship is in heaven. " Philippians3:20.

The church is one body of Christ. There are various denominations and groups in the church, but there is no distinction in heaven. If you are a member of Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, evangelical, mainline, or Pentecostal, that has nothing to do with God's eyes. To deny one another is to deny the body of Christ Himself.

The church is the only body of Christ. Those who believe in Jesus Christ are the bodies of Christ, no matter where we are, we are the one and only precious organs of the body of Christ that each one must not lack.

The Bible can answer the question, which was first asked, whether those who believe in Christ must go to church. "We are the church, not we go." The church is not where we go, but it is ourselves.

God is in a place with love. The church is the place where God is. Over a long period of history, there have been many divisions in the place named "Church". Distortion can still occur in churches. Love is the only solution. The church is a group of sinners, but love can cover many sins. The place without God is not a church. God builds the church. God is in a place of love. The place of love is the church.

After he died on the cross, Jesus was resurrected and told his disciples: "I will be with you until the end of the world."

Jesus has been resurrected and is now where we are at this moment. It is Jesus, the head of the church, who guides us, the body of Christ. When we believe that Jesus is alive and entrust the church to him, God will appear in us and we will be able to love one another. When one sees that love, the place we are now turns into a church. Everyone will know God when the church, a place of love, expands and the world is transformed into the kingdom of God.

"Which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way."

Ephesians 1:23
